Forum member Sit Heal Speak is dancing in the clouds right now, as he has got Puppy booting off a SCSI drive:

All it needed was the kernel compiled with drivers built-in, and we are now in business!

"All right, I'll get on it. It'll take a few days. It might help if Sage will precisely identify the thread where you discuss scsi jumpering. The frugal install from scsi feels subjectively faster than the full install. But not by much.
