Cheap dialup in Australia

June 22, 2009 — BarryK
I'm planning to signup for Dialup Internet access, as a backup. I need it right now, as my pending satellite connection seems to be stuck.

I have Internet access via Telstra's 3G network, but incredibly expensive. I have just purchased BROWSEPACK29 for my mobile, which cost $29 and is only for 200MB and expires in one month! I want to experiment with Internet access from my laptop via the mobile.

But if I don't want to do any heavy downloads or uploads, dialup is a good fallback, and I found this incredibly cheap offer:

...very interesting, they say "no busy signals". As low as $7.49 per month, hours and download unlimited.

How about these guys, free dialup if you transfer your phone to them:

"heh, heh, yeah I did see their site, but I thought as they have designed web pages that only render properly in Internet Explorer then I don't want to know them.

"Barry, Netbay's 5-hour session limit suggests a maximum per-session upload of 90MB (50Kb/s). Note too that Spin's plan description says nothing about "uploads".
