New drivers for 2.6.25.16 kernel

June 23, 2009 — BarryK
I'm going to build the 414 live-CD with our trusty 2.6.25.16 kernel. In my last post I added a couple of modules created by rerwin. Now, tempestuous has been extremely helpful and has compiled lots more drivers...

This is the relevant thread:
htp://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=34159

I have not added all modules as some are for certain hardware only. These are the ones I have added:

*NO* eee-snd-hda-intel-patched-k2.6.25.16.pet
rtl8187se-coffelius0.4-k2.6.25.16.pet
e1000e-0.4.1.12-k2.6.25.16.pet
qc-usb-0.6.6-k2.6.25.16.pet
r8187-B-FEB09-k2.6.25.16.pet
usb-storage-ZTE-patch-k2.6.25.16.pet
option-patched-01April09-k2.6.25.16.pet
gspca_t613-k2.6.25.16.pet
gspca-E2500-k2.6.25.16.pet
microdia-02012009-k2.6.25.16.pet
sierra-v1.3.1b-k2.6.25.16.pet
snd-hda-intel-patchedApril09-k2.6.29.16.pet
w35und-030408-k2.6.25.16.pet
zd1211rw-TPLink-k2.6.25.16.pet
pcnet_cs-FA411-k2.6.25.16.pet

It is important to note that I have just picked through, adding some modules and not all, and may have left out some extra support utility or script. Please read the thread for more details.

I have also added this to the 'xorg_xorg_servers-7.3' package:
Xorg7.3-v4l-extension-0.1.1.pet
...which is /usr/X11R7/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/v4l_drv.so
You need to read the thread which has instructions for activating it in xorg.conf.
