Puppy 415 alpha uploaded

June 24, 2009 — BarryK
Urgent bugfixes for 414, see my previous post. The version number is bumped to 415.

Get it all from here:

http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/puppylinux/test/woof-415alpha/

Lots of .delta files for easy upgrade from 414:

ppup-413.iso:pup4-415.iso.delta
pup4-414.iso:pup4-415.iso.delta
pup4_devx_414.sfs:pup4_devx_415.sfs.delta
puppy-4.1.2-k2.6.25.16-seamonkey.iso:pup4-415.iso.delta
woof-20090623.tar.gz:woof-20090624.tar.gz.delta

...even one for upgrading from the official 4.1.2 release! (it's 37MB).

The last file is uploading right now, 15 minutes to go. Then I'm going home!

I do not know the language NicoEdit is written in, but I looked at the code.. is it possible the string ("bin/perl") is not in the "shebang" line or is capitalized???? Can you display the shebang line for debug? One other shot...next line is if s.contains("bin/python") do check_correct_lang ("python") is it possible the shebang contains both perl and python in the line??? Do you get any format type?

"No, the shebang line contains "bin/perl" or "bin/python" as appropriate. That is not the problem. The problem is elsewhere, when the code tries to set the language for gtksourceview. Read my blog, I've been enthusing about new apps written in Genie, NicoEdit is one of them.
