Testing latest Hiawatha

September 06, 2009 — BarryK
I have compiled the latest Hiawatha web server, version 6.17.1.

Tested PPLOG, our personal blog, seems ok.

Very basic testing with QUISP, seems ok.

However, 4.3beta1 testers reported that they were able to get a server error. Lobster, you were one of those people.
I was wondering, do you recall the steps to reproduce that error?
If I can follow those same steps, then I will find out if the new Hiawatha has the same problem.

This is all I could find of my rambling http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=332252#332252 seems more to do with PHP needing recompiling. One thing I noted (I think something similar in your list of known bugs) With my first beta 2 boot I saved a pristine test save sfs Then I thought OK beta working, I will upgrade my existing save file (I had 3) but none are appearing. Maybe if I rename? Or I could click and mount them and grab any files to put on the Hard disk

"Lobster, this is where you reported an internal server error with QUISP and Hiawatha: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=45398&sid=5549626873f2327c24f85b838090dd9e ...but, that was 4.3-pre-beta. Forum member 'schism' also had the same problem. Um, could you "mess around" with QUISP, see if you can get it to crash again?

"I am running from a near pristine beta2 from DVD Thinking that you meant a multisession DVD, I did the same. Saved a couple of sessions. Then ran QUISP, when I clicked the START button, QUISP worked. Hmmm... Anything to do with locale? I'm using en_US, the default. ...I would not be at all surprised if it turns out to be a locale problem!

"Just a standard DVD/CD strangely I can not access Puppypfix=ram on the initial boot, to use the default locale - I am using En-GB

"OK just changed locale to US and now Quisp working - so yes a locale problem
