Web pages updated

October 12, 2009 — BarryK
There is a lot more to do, but I have made a start updating web pages at puppylinux.com.

A page that is highly recommended that all Puppy newcomers should read is the overview of package management:

http://puppylinux.com/development/package-management.htm

I have also updated, at least partially, pages on Woof and the PPM:

http://puppylinux.com/woof/
http://puppylinux.com/woof/ppm.htm

This page is now a redirect to the main Woof page:
http://puppylinux.com/development/puppy-unleashed.htm

Documentation on the old Unleashed and PETget have been replaced with Woof and the PPM.

Are these old Unleashed and PETget pages replaced or archived? If they are replaced then we are saying that users of old puppy versions will no longer have info on how to extend their Puppy.

".. to hear you've somehow made time for these updates, they're sooo valuable. From the newbie comments we've been getting in the forum, I fear that raw newcomers are not finding these pages easily enough from the jumping-off page, maybe a little confused by all the icon links. If RC2 gives you a moment's breathing space, could you perhaps consider giving the j-o page the more explicit style as used on say, http://puppylinux.com/development/, which is great.
