Grub and Grub4dos

April 27, 2010 — BarryK
Some Quirky/Wary testers have been complaining about Grub4dos, for example:

Grub4dos is easier to use, but perhaps Grub Legacy (0.97) is more flexible.

I decided to put both of these into the next Quirky and Wary. So, take your pick!

I have chosen the '29ubuntu53' revision, as not so sure about later patches:

...yes, it supports ext4.

Puppy 4.3.1 Japanese Edition has both legacy grub and grub4dos. Someone try to apply legacy grub for frugal install and get troubled. They did not aware grub4dos but legacy grub. I think it makes confusion for the begginers which is better to use. Username: 27 Apr 2010, 7:09
