Home again

June 13, 2010 — BarryK
I was away from home for a couple of days and offline. Now back in business.

While in Perth I bought a 1.5TB external hard drive. I had run out of archive space. Before now, I have been using a 320GB external drive -- it took a couple of years, but that is now full.

G'day Barry, there have been reports on the Puppy Forum about Gparted not being able to handle large external HDDs. These links refer: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=55022 http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=55721 Username: 13 Jun 2010, 9:44
"01658"202.124.73.8'Reformed 1.5TB drive"BarryK"My drive is a Western Digital Elements USB 1.5TB hard drive, pre-formatted with an NTFS filesystem. Running Wary 030, which has all the same package versions as Quirky, I ran Gparted and reformatted the partition to ext3. It is working fine. Perhaps it is a different situation if the partition is resized? Username: 13 Jun 2010, 19:17
