File-finding bug fixed

October 20, 2010 — BarryK
Wary 0.9 testers were reporting issues with the save-file not being found at bootup.

Forum member Béèm has frugal installations of Puppy in one partition, but the save-files are in another partition. I had not thought of frugal installations working that way, but have now accommodated it.

I think that I have got it sorted out, just needs some testing. The scripts that I have modified are /etc/rc.d/rc.shutdown and the 'init' script in the initrd.

It was also reported that if Wary 0.9 was installed to hd, the CD boot failed. Yes, I found the cause. The file-finding code in 'init' was finding 'vmlinuz' on the hd first and getting confused. I think that I have fixed it.
