The version of gparted included in Wary 0.9.4 (and some other recent puppies) had 2 rather serious bugs See: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gparted/+bug/624251 Can you upgrade to 0.6.2 or newer?

"Hmmm, I have no problem with using the Boot Manager to select the devx sfs. Running Wary 094 with traditional filenames. I presume that you have a Dpup build, but I don't see why that would make any difference.

"Yeah, I will take a look at it ...rather reluctantly, as whenever I upgrade Gparted a bug may be fixed but there is always some new bug.
