December 25, 2010 — BarryK
Shinobar and a few other guys have reported a problem with Unetbootin in recent Woof-built puppies.

Why unetbootin

Merry Christmas to all! I often install Puppy on usb with its own installer, of course I have to burn the iso. Not allways succesful but when I succeed I have a permanent file to keep my customisation. When I use unetbootin for other linux distributions (in order to save a cd) there is no permanet file and all settings are lost. My question is what is the role of unetbootin for Puppy?

"Puppy is designed to run very nicely from live-CD and save session. Ditto with Unetbootin.
