Woof improvements for Slacko

August 22, 2011 — BarryK
01micko posted that KMS (Kernel ModeSetting) needs to be turned off for the Xorg 'radeon' driver in Slacko:
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=70844&start=90

I have modified script '3builddistro' to choose appropriate defaults for 'i915', 'radeon' and 'nouveau', with options to override.

In the same download tarball, 01micko has rcrsn51's patch for /usr/local/petget/installpkg.sh, however I have already applied this and done some further mods. I have created directory support/slacko in Woof, and put these images into it: S_puppy.gif s_puppylogo48.png s_puppylogo96.png

"I have put 01micko's 'woof_base_hack' into support/slacko in Woof, and modified it somewhat. Removed some things that are already done elsewhere, and changed it to operate on sandbox3/rootfs-complete rather than rootfs-skeleton. support/slacko/woof_base-hack is called from 3builddistro in the case of Slacko builds.

"01micko has provided an improved FIXUPHACK script for xcb, required for Debian Squeeze and Slackware Slacko. I have put this into packages-templates/libxcb_base.

remasterpup2 fix revert

"rodin.s posted this on the forum: /usr/sbin/remasterpup2 doesn't work. I used mounted iso-file. I commented out latest bugfix: Code: #110808 PANZERKOPF: bug fix. (lines 410, 411 are involved) and now it works. ...so, I have reverted that "fix".
