"ISA-bus sound drivers exist in some builds such as racy but do not work. I think they should remain available even in Racy. For example, my ancient PII runs faster with Racy than with Wary except one difference: driver not found (in my case, for oplsa3). Off-topic: Of course, uniprocessor kernel may add another performance boost...

"I already reported this on the Forum. I'm sure Barry saw it. It may be a minor issue since all the elements seem to be present? [u]But[/u], Racy is not necessarily the correct vehicle - read what the maestro says about Racy. Notwithstanding, it might help to switch ISA sound off completely for Racy and save the bytes? Horses & courses. [cf. Black Caviar - Melbourne]
