wag_profiles extracted from net_setup

February 08, 2013 — BarryK
The 'wag_profiles' script in the 'net_setup' PET has been removed to it's own PET. This is necessary to setup Woof to support Jemimah's Frisbee, see post by rerwin here:
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=82092&start=300

These are the new PETs (42K, 20K):

http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/pet_packages-noarch/wag_profiles-20121117.pet

The package-lists for all pup builds in Woof had to be updated, Woof commit:

See these posts. Using latest woof the ethernet autoconnection does not work. The solution has been described also. http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=685750#685750

"pemasu, Just to be sure that we have eliminated it, did you include the new wag_profiles in the build: http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/pet_packages-noarch/wag_profiles-20121117.pet ...as that got taken out of net_setup. That is the only change to net_setup

"I didnt include the wag_profiles pet, because I didnt remember or notice the change. I started to dig the problem after those failure posts. I just tested the autoconnect problem by installing the older pet and script. Would including wag_profiles pet fix the problem ?

Autoconnect fixed

"wag_profiles pet missing was the real problem. When I did test the problem with wag_profiles pet postinstalled, I didnt reboot, it seems. With my later test I did reboot though. Now I have rewoofed the dpup wheezy with newer net_setup pet and with wag_profiles added...and ethernet autoconnects. Sorry. It was my dumb reasoning behind the hassle.
