So, if there is anything urgent that you need to sneak in, kindly do so within the next 10 hours.

Let puppy mount with the option -o utf8
glad to be noticed.
i'm using cute puppylinux with the locale file zh_CN.utf8.thanks to puppy.cnbits.com,they make some fixs to pmount so that it can mount my disk with many Chinese documents in it.
but it seems there is still a mount to my USB stick(i'm using it to boot puppy) at startup so i can't use fixed pmount to mount it.in other words,in my boot disk, the Chinese file names don't display well, because it's no utf8 support.
still,i can use little barbie(a good Chinese edition of puppy),but it's made from puppyV400 and also i just want support of Chinese, not localization everywhere.

Puppy 4.1 for AMD Geode ?
Hello. After some investigation, I found out why I couldn't run Puppy with accelerated graphics on my Geode box. It seems that there are problems with Xorg server >=1.3 AND General Software BIOS (due to a bug in x86emu). Ubuntu has a fix. It would be great if it could be integrated in Puppy 4.1. Otherwise, I will try to 'downgrade' the installed Xorg software. In any case, Puppy is probably the best OS to run on thes class of machines and proper video support would make it perfect :)

(see comment from spuch)
I'm also looking for a way to mount disks so that i can see cyrillic letters. I know it's one of the mount options, but it needs the right files...
en_US.utf8 or something similar.it must be possible

Cannot do yet
utf/cyrillic mounting, needs to be properly investigated for possible inclusion in 4.2.
No kernel changes, 4.1 is frozen. Maybe for 4.2.
Xorg, yes, version 7.4 is now released, so there may be an upgrade for 4.2.

No new packages
There are a couple of little apps developed by Puppy enthusiasts, that basically got left behind as I was busy with my Royal Show job. 4.1 is frozen, and that is firm, I won't sneak anything in unless it's absolutely urgent. Target these for inclusion in 4.2.

Network Wizard latest
Barry if not too late, please include Dougal's network-wizard-oct-5th. This includes a PATH definition which is quite important for an ACPI daemon package I am preparing.
