Module PREFLIST for retro kernel

I may need some advice from those with longer memories than me. /etc/rc.d/MODULESCONFIG has the 'PREFLIST' variable, and this is currently what it is set to:

PREFLIST=' rt2500usb:rt73usb orinoco_nortel:hostap_plx orinoco_plx:hostap_plx orinoco_tmd:hostap_plx orinoco_pci:hostap_pci bcm43xx:ssb prism54:p54pci '

In the example of "rt2500usb:rt73usb", in a situation where they are both eligible for the same hardware, the second one will get chosen.

Puppy 217 has /etc/rc.d/MODULESCONFIG but it does not have that variable. It was brought in with with pup 4xx. 412 has this:

PREFLIST=' rt2500usb:rt73usb ath5k:ath_pci orinoco_nortel:hostap_plx orinoco_plx:hostap_plx orinoco_tmd:hostap_plx orinoco_pci:hostap_pci martian_dev:ltserial bcm43xx:ssb prism54:p54pci r8169:r8101 '

If anyone has any thoughts on what PREFLIST should have in it for the 2.6.18.8 kernel, let me know. Ideally it would be good if one PREFLIST was suiable for all kernels, but I can put in a special test in Woof when building the live-CD.

Well the 2.6.18 kernel doesn't have the ssb/b43/b43legacy, ath5k, p54pci modules.

The r8101 is an extra third party module.
