Forum
Editing the initrd.gz has been discussed many times on the forum. Search there, and ask questions there.

Good news
Good news about Seamonkey.
For 4.2 Warren introduced Monkeymenu
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/search?q=monkeymenu&cat=all

I find it very good and now tend to install it.
It can block pop ups, javascript, and clear private data - and many other things too. May be better than just adblock?

wuxiandianzi@163.com:

The best way for you to create your own Puppy is to use the Woof build system.

Seamonkey 2.0
I have been using Seamonkey 2.0 Beta for months now, and it is really great, fast, and haven't had a single crash. I'd recommend upgrading to 2.0 soon if possible.
