Asunder 1.9

There have been reports that Ripoff, the CD song ripper in 4.3 and earlier puppies, dies half-way through if you try to rip an entire CD.

Looking at the Ripoff project page, I see that it has not been updated for a long time.

On the otherhand, Asunder is very active, so I compiled the latest, version 1.9, and tested it. Yep, lovely, I ripped off an entire CD to MP3 files.

So, 4.3.1 will have Asunder, not Ripoff.

Asunder
Hi Barry, about 4 months back I put Asunder in 2.14X, I also compiled other libs for it, It can rip a cd into wav,mp3,ogg,flac,wavpack, wavpack can handle 384kbps, it was a small extra library, well worth it if you want the higher quality sound.
Look under prefrences/ Encode and it will tell you the formats that you can choose from.

431 not a bug-fix
It's got to be said, so I'll be the one to say it. 431 is not a "bug-fix". Let's stop calling it one and proudly recognize it for what it is - an incremental release in the 4.3 series. Too many people have contributed too much since 4.3. to do otherwise.

Asunder is good
Good move - asunder is simple and effective.

431 bug-fix
Let's just say it's "pushing the envelope" of being defined as a bug-fix release!

431 buglets
"pushing the envelope" is a good thing to do. I mean, what the heck good is an envelope if your only perspective is from inside it ;-).
