Now that I am embarking on furthering my knowledge of Genie, I have made a start by updating my main Genie page:

Genie is a gal
This wiki page much of it based on Barry's page could do with splitting into Genie and Vala and updating
http://puppylinux.org/wikka/GenieProgramming

Also that logo?! With a name like Genie can we at least have a programming logo that is a gal?

Who is up for it?

Gtksourceview for Genie
Barry - who is responsible for the genie.lang file in /usr/share/gtksourceview-2.0/language-specs ?

I would normally assume that it was placed there as part of the GtkSourceview installation, but I started looking for how I could report a bug/patch to the .lang file with the GtkSourceview project and I discovered what appears to be the original submission by Jamie, the creator of Genie. His submission seems to be set out quite different than what I'm seeing in Puppy now (version 4.3.1)

The version I have has "using" as a keyword and omits the "construct" keyword, but there's no problems in what Jamie originally submitted.

Just wanted to know so I understood where I should be recommending changes.

I have the .lang file Jamie originally submitted to the GtkSourceview project if you want it.

genie.lang
Caleb,
If I recall rightly, I got it from the Vala email-list, and yes, I do recall that Jamie also created one.

So, Jamie's version is better? Then yes, I had better swap over to it. If you can kindly email it to me (bkaulerATgmailDOTcom) or provide the URL, I'll put it into the gtksourceview pet package.
