Decisions, decisions...

I can't make up my mind whether "" or "" is better.

The latter might convey a slightly more professional impression maybe?

I have registered both of them for two years, but should settle on just one for preferred use.

Raffy, I know there are other possibilities. Strangely enough, I actually want a domain name for which all other variants are already registered. That is, I have .org, and all the other TLDs are already registered (, etc). My reasoning is, it is good to know what my neighbours are before I "buy in".

Strange, but you can have both. If your host allows multiple domains (Baby Croc plan allows it), you can have both. See "add-on domains" in the Control Panel.

The only limitation is your CMS (if it uses a hard-coded URL).

PPLOG can have both
My blog only has paths relative to the root directory, so can handle multiple domain names.

For what is worth, I perceive *home* as somewhat less "professional". If it's to be a nome de plume, first initial-last name seems most professional. But that taken, I'd go with barryk.

It doesn't appear to me that one is more professional than the other, but I agree that first initial-last name is more so. But I also don't think it matters; this is the computer world after all. I like barryk because you are well known as Barry - see the blog header for example. Heck, you are the most famous Barry I know. :-)

I feel, "". is preferred. My alternative suggestion is "" or etc.

PaulBx1 puts it perfectly. Another vote for from me.

The world knows you by BarryK
so I like
Barry, you and your allies
are redefining what personal computing is.
The unexpected giantic jump
in usage of puppy has brought
all this noise.
You must enjoy what you do.

Yeah, despite the unanimous advice!

Oh well, it is hardly of earth-shattering consequences either way!
