Drake Puppy 0.3

I am boldly announcing this as the first beta release of Drake Puppy.

Version 0.1, that I announced as an alpha, was released on July 3:
http://bkhome.org/blog/?viewDetailed=02330

Version 0.1 has a 2.6.34.8 kernel, 0.3 has a 2.6.39.3 kernel. The latter is also PAE-enabled.

This pup also has SeaMonkey 2.2.

Get it from here:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/drake-0.3

The ISO has a XZ-compressed SFS inside it, whereas the 'devz' SFS is only gzip-compressed, hence the larger size of the devx file.

Mandrake lovers, try this pup!

Note, this is not yet a "public release". Probably still has lots of bugs. It seems to be working ok though, I'm using it now.

Known issues:

1. Xorg Wizard needs work.
2. ?

Note 2: I'm not sure about the future of Drake Puppy. I mean, as far as myself managing it's development. I'm spreading myself too thin. Will post more about this soon.

Mandrake(new release today) and Mageia have uncertain futures and are now off the beaten track of mainstream development. Ipso facto, Wary being the really solid project, well-repsected & well-received, etc. probably would benefit most from your efforts?

monitor
Thanks Barry.
Res 2560x1440 works OK on DELL 2711.
But 96 dpi for letters and larger icons (1.2 times) will be better for big monitor.
