rodin.s is the creator and maintainer of the Russian (ru) language pack.
These guys have recently updated their langpacks. L18L has it on the Forum, rodin.s pm'ed it to me.
I have uploaded them (2.4MB, 2.1MB):

My raspi is in the queue...

Yes, it works. I just installed the new package with a prestine Sap6.
Although I don't say it often, you are doing a very good job, L18L.

Other languages supported with Langpack?
I was interested if Indonesian Language will be supported with a Langpack. Will someone post some back links here in this thread to point to where to get started translating the .PO files for new persons who want to translate to their language?
I will use http://www.wellminded.com/puppy/pupsearch.html to help me locate, "Localization" or ".PO" or MoManager
Thank you L18L and Rhadon, and rodin.s for your translations.
ps. http://babelfish.yahoo.com now translates web pages using the Microsoft translator. I was able to read and laugh with the German humor on the first muga-linux URL above to L18L German translation thread.
I only speak english and a little spanish.

In a running Puppy, click the menu and choose "Help", then there is a "HOWTO internationalization" page.

Regarding that HOWTO Internationalization page, it is a bit old. MoManager will recognise and use poedit if it is installed (you should find it in the PPM).
You can also search this blog for other news about MoManager.

Barry, user icake has posted some new Traditional Chinese langpacks for Lucid and Slacko and for Wary and Racy. I'm not sure whether he used MoManager or not, but it's one more language for Puppy Linux.

MoManager feature request.
I was working on gettext in pprocess and pprocess consists of three files: pprocess, func and box_ok. And these files share translation lines. So it would be good for these three files using one common mo-file. MoManager doesn't support that. One script - one mo file now in MoManager. It would be nice if from scripts with common TEXTDOMAIN name could be generated one common pot-file like this:
xgettext -L shell pprocess func box_ok -o pprocess.pot

MoManager feature request 2
That means Pmusic will require about 40 *.mo files.
