mtrr errors
Seems any PC with video sharing ram gets (via dmesg) 'MTRR allocation failed. Graphics performance may suffer'. Could likely be the cause of video crashes & screen dirt. No puppy seems to have addressed this possibility.
Ubuntu fixed this last year by enabling MTRR cleanup and spare register = 1 in kernel's Processor area. Appending the kernel line in grub with 'enable_mtrr_cleanup mtrr_spare_reg_nr=1' is supposed to fix it (in ubuntu anyway). Doesn't work. Perhaps the precise puppy kernel should be
complied to include these settings.

That link has guessfstype support for btrfs. We can have compression support in Racy save files too. :)
