Packages added to 'categories.dat'

File 'categories.dat' categorizes packages in accordance with the Puppy menu structure, as introduced in the previous blog post:
http://bkhome.org/blog2/?viewDetailed=00032

L18L has done some fantastic work, with scripts to extract category information from .desktop files. There is also a GUI, see above link, also here:
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=82186&start=22

I have merged the first bunch of packages that L18L has mapped to the categories in categories.dat, and updated categories.dat.

Previously, I had 644 packages in categories.dat, it is now 1840 packages.

I also recompiled 'debdb2pupdb.bac', as that compiles with categories.dat included, that is, builtin. I suppose in future I could modify the BaCon code to load categories.dat dynamically at runtime.

localized documentation
I have figured out how to localize web pages (both hosted and local) without any server side scripting.

Started with /usr/share/doc/index.html:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=666186#666186

... but it can also be applied to online documentation as well
