Introducing Easy OS

October 09, 2017 — BarryK

Easy OS is a "new paradigm" for a Linux distribution, a blend of the best ideas from Puppy and Quirky, and a fundamental rethink of the security, maintainability and ease-of-use.

To download Easy, and bootup on your computer, go here:

...Easy is very intuitive, and you can boot up and run Easy quite happily. However, if you would like to do a bit of pre-reading, there are a couple of "How Easy works" pages...

if you are technically-inclined, this link is the starting point to understand how Easy works:

...it is a bit heavy-going though. The concepts are quite simple, but the above page has a lot of example script code, which may obfuscate things for many readers.
If you are a user and more interested in using Easy, rather than the underlying architecture, just glance through the above link (or even bypass it entirely), then move onto part-2, which focuses on Easy from a user-perspective:

To find out what is happening, as well as announcements of new releases, go to Barry's News blog:

To read feedback from others, and join in, the Puppy Forum has an Easy OS thread:

Have fun!
