Hiccup with blog

April 10, 2008 — BarryK
Ahem. I wondered why no curious person posted a comment at my experimental blog. I just found out, it doesn't work. The file 'test.html' only has this one line in it:

<!--#include virtual="nameofblogscript.pl?page=1" -->

But that is only ever going to display the front page of the blog. So, how can I change that so that it defaults to parameters '?page=1' but if a URL with parameters is supplied, like this:

http://bkhome.org/archive/blog2/200906/pfind-49-broken.html

then the '?viewDetailed=00000' will replace the '?page=1'?

If you know the answer to this question, would you mind letting me know? A suitable place to reply would be the 4.00beta feedback thread:

UPDATE:
Ah, that simplifies things. For some reason I thought that I had to have the '?page=1' to get the main page to display, but it defaults to that anyway. That means all that is required is to substitute the parameter from the URL ...which I don't know how to do
