I have been running Ubuntu 8.04, examining the environment that Pppoeconf needs to work properly. I have imported various directories and files into Puppy that will hopefully provide the necessary infrastructure. I can't test it though.

Not related to Pppoeconf, but have you tested dslcore? Seems like they have taken some similar (and some different) paths as Puppy.

"Barry, I will be pleased to test the new pppoe when it is in the next alpha, and let you know the result. i am writing this in alpha 3 as as i could not make the pppoe work in alpha 4 even save and reboot did not work. Please make the instruction for the test simple as i am an old noobe, and the grey matter looks like Gruyere cheese. Michael.
