Barry I am having the same keyboard problems in 4.1a7. I even tried a manual frugal install just to make sure it was not the CD, no luck. Did not recognise the keyboard at the select keyboard stage of the load. It did however allow me to type puppy pfix=ram when loading from the CD though. At the moment I am using 4.1a5 and all is fine.

"wombat01, that really does puzzle me. These are just different sub-sub-version number differences, that is 2.6.25.x, and I have not made major config changes, certainly nothing I think that would affect the keyboard. For alpha6, did you try both the "normal" and "conservative" kernels?
No Full Poweroff

"Puppy 4.1alpha7 has reverted to an almost full poweroff. I still need to finish the job with the switch on the box. Thus far, Puppy 4.1alpha6 Conservative is the only Puppy I have seen do a full poweroff. Intel D850MV, P4/1.5GHz, 256MB RDRAM, 16G HD/ 1 NTFS partition GeoW

"For alpha6, did you try both the "normal" and "conservative" kernels? Yes. Same problem. It is really weird. I can't understand why others are not having the same problem. It must be something to do with hardware my end.
No wifi...

"Puppy 4.1 Alpha7 Fixed the problem with Hotpup not mounting drives as writable as well as a problem on my laptop with choosing reboot from the menu. Cheers! (Laptop would hang at Post after reboot previously). Unfortunatly now wifi and ethernet aren't deteced. Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet. Atheros AR5007EG Wireless, for which I use the madwifi-ng-r2756-eeepatch-k2.6.21.7.pet. Both devices are detected with Dingo. Any chance of including the madwifi patch in the future?
New Hotpup Drivemount as a Pet

"It would be great if I could get the new Hotpup Drive Mount app as a Pet and uninstall the old one. Dingo 4.00 really works for me.
scanner & network still problematic

"mustek scanner still doesn't work in 4.1a7 network still doesn't always come up; only have to run dhcpcd manually to get it running though.
