Mime problem with latest ROX-Filer

I need help from someone who is an expert with mime types.
I upgraded from ROX-Filer 2.6.1 to 2.7.1, which seems to be working fine except that it now shows plain-text files with the "sprocket" icon. Right-clicking and choosing "Properties" shows that ROX is thinking these files are "application/octet-stream".
It the text file has a .txt extension then the file /usr/share/mime/globs comes into play and ROX knows it is a text file and displays the text-file icon.
All the mime info in /usr/share/mime is the same as before, so ROX is doing something differently.
If you think that you can assist to solve this, grab alpha6. Jaunty pup alpha6 will be uploaded very soon.
