Bcrypt tells me that "password must have at least 8 characters" but it does not accept fewer that 9
Ok, I changed the message to say at least 9 required.
memtest from X does not work, can be dangerous and lead to data loss. Please remove this menu item
I don't see why it is dangerous -- it claims free memory only and locks it, but the disadvantage is that it can only test RAM that is free. I have removed it.
The recent kernels are built with memtest builtin, and an appropriate boot parameter will do a test of all RAM -- I don't recall the required boot parameter right now.
Zfind GUI stops responding when a search is executed and must be killed. Zfind remains running in the background with 50% CPU load
I have not had any trouble with Zfind. The only problem with it is the lack of a progress indicator, so if it is taking a long time you don't know if it has finished or not and think it has hung. Also a cancel button would be good.
Anyway, Pfind is back in the latest build.
man command appears to be passing the wrong parameters to die.net. Site always returns "Not found"
Oh that is a nuisance! die.net have changed the URLs so something simple like die.net/man/date to lookup the 'date' man page no longer works. Now you have to know the section -- see this page that explains the sections: http://linux.die.net/man/.
Ok, this works: die.net/man/1/date
I have edited /usr/share/doc/index.html and /usr/bin/man to look in the '1' subdirectory, which is not perfect as some utilities will be in '8'. Oh well.
PPM - clicking "examine dependencies" closes dialog and then nothing
I can't make this happen. You will have to give an exact example, what package, what repo.
Network Wizard occasionally fails to obtain a valid dhcp assigned address during wireless connection setup. I often have to click the Auto DHCP button after the initial connection
Any Network Wizard questions should be directed to Dougal. There is an ongoing forum thread for feedback on the Network Wizard.

when I installed a pet it kept saying that a menu entry was made in utilities, even if it was a pet without a menu entry
Fixed.

Pnethood(except for the CIFs problem I have reported several times in the forum together with a workaround)
I seem to have missed it. Could you post a link to where this workaround is? Is it something that can be put in permanently, or is it something that has to be done manually for certain situations? Note, Puppy currently has Pnethood version 0.65.
alsamixer seems to have some sliders missing e.g. master volume!
I have the master volume on my laptop. You do know that the tab keys will scroll the window left and right to show all volumes? Although, in my case the master volume is on the left so initially visible.
Could not get any of the PuppyTV channels to run. Just a dialog box saying getting gxine to run and a okay button
I tested three channels.
NASA: audio but no video.
FIX 11 LA: works.
BBC News: the URL has changed.
Forum member puppyluvr is the guy who created PupTV, see forum:

I just modified the script so it alloowed selection of Gxine or Mplayer if they were installed. My PET package is:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/puppylinux/pet_packages-woof/puptv-0.3-1.pet
...I'll post a message to the forum asking if PupTV can be fixed.

Reported a bug in /usr/bin/xwin, where the LANG variable is read from /etc/profile. Fixed.

clicking on a .bfe file (in ROX) opens the GUI but does not complete the file name so a drag is still required.
Hmm, works fine for me. I just now tested it. Click on a .bfe file, it appears in the Bcrypt GUI, nothing needs to be dragged.
added my usual 2 SFS files ... there was no sign of OpenOffice
Are you testing the build with 2.6.30.1 kernel? If so, it can only read Squashfs v4.0 files.

- Pburn 2.5.5 includes a major bugfix. I'm sorry for the extra work I give you by my frenetic release frequency. I just work on ideas/bugs when they show up, and in the last 2 days it has popped up rather many new thoughts in my head. I think Pburn now is close to both work ok and being lightweight. In the 2.5.x series I have focused on speed, and it doesn't feel slow on my system. It is possible to slim it further, but I try to find the balance between features and a tiny gui. - It would have been very interesting if you skipped readcd for the next release. I don't think we have any use of it. We could end up with a really small burning pack Sigmund

I actually have this pet a long time (pwidgets development stage), I thought I would share it, if you want Barry. The main feature that differs Pstreamvid with PupTV is the ability to add or remove channels easily, and you can have as many channles as you want. Since the forum is down again, I uploaded the pet here http://www.4shared.com/file/120919191/41db6534/pstreamvid.html Thank you and best regards.

"puppymike, thanks for responding with that info. But, what you have done manually, could be put into the Pnethood script couldn't it? If so, where? I haven't used Pnethood, so know nothing about the script. A quick check: it's at /usr/sbin/pnethood. HairyWill is the creator of Pnethood, but he is doing other things for now (like spending more time with his family!), so we have to fix anything in the script that needs fixing.

"thanks Barry. I think the old one 1.10 is not needed anymore with the new kernel. Can you also add this little utilities : It can be found in http://puppyfiles.org/dotpupsde/dotpups/Multimedia/Mplayer-1.0rc1/ File is : linuxtv-DVB-apps-1.1.1.pet (at least scan is needed) And how is it the DVB device nodes are not created ? I have to use the script MAKEDEV-DVB.sh to create them.
