Some major bugs have been fixed, and things are looking pretty good.
Just to let you know, I'm currently thinking of uploading 4.3beta2 in a couple of days. Let's say, Saturday or Sunday.

Upgrade pathUsername: paulh
from someone running a 430beta1 frugally with plenty of installed packages and some changes to make it run on an Aspire One ... ... is the upgrade path as simple as copying across the new kernel, sfs and initrd.gz and rebooting? Or will I need to install the new release to a usb stick and reboot from that and then use the universal installer ?
Frugal upgrade

"Yep, just copy across those three files and you have upgraded! Of course, it's easy to get them out of the live-cd iso file -- just click on it and it gets mounted.
Frugal upgrade

"One word of caution, be careful about deleting the old -423.sfs file as it may be in use, if you are running from the frugal installation. After you have rebooted with the upgrade, then delete the old .sfs file.
expanding initrd.gz

"The script in Woof that creates the initrd.gz: cd initrd-tree find . | ../cpio -o -H newc | gzip -9 > ../initrd.gz As to the other way, I need to recall how. Like this I think... gunzip -c initrd.gz | cpio -i -d
