Upgrade Flash player?

Coolpup is urging me to upgrade to the latest Flash player. Coolpup has created this information page:
http://puppylinux.org/wikka/AdobeFlashPlayer
Pup 4.3beta2 still has Flash player version 9.0.48.0, which is getting rather old.
I have stayed with it because it works for me, and is small.
So, do we really have to move up?
Are you guys finding Flash-based sites that don't work with the older player?
Of course, the latest player is supposed to have fixed some security holes.
This is the main reason I am so reluctant to upgrade:
flashplayer-9.0.48.0.pet 2545KB
flashplayer-10.0.32.18.pet 3951KB
...these are the compressed sizes, so the upgrade would cause the live-CD size to jump up about 1.4MB.

Hi Barry, Flash is so pervasive and some large sites like the BBCi player will not work without the upgraded version. Also I am hearing of more and more attempts to hijack browsers so it would be much appreciated. Cheers Tony

"Thanks for including Flash 10 in Puppy 4.3. Many video sites require the new Flash 10 plugin. Despite the larger filesize,it runs much faster on older hardware.

"combine the webpage analytic capabilities of trios gui downloader for flash.swf with the code from the automatic java installer athttp://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=45643 and then use it to not only install the latest java but also the latest flashplayer. then flashplayer can be left out of the iso. but definitely access to the latest flashplayer is needed and is one of the first thing i check and upgrade with any pup. future use my part will also try to symlink the flashpayer from outside the pup_save as isdone wih my java install

"I presume you are talking about pup 4.0 or 4.1. The latest JWM fixes the fullscreen problem.

"Hi Barry I've been ripping apart puppy versions and doing test for the latest flash10 / firefox 3.5. To have flash working 100% the best combination of all the puppy release put together is the following mix. 2.6.18.1 GlibC from series 3 Xorg from 2.14R/X with the /etc/X11 settings (this older version of Xorg was compiled with extra modules and also has x-inputs where as 3 retro series didn't) Latest glib/gtk/pango,dbus,rox etc etc etc This combination gives you extremely fast scrolling on flash site, it doesn't bog down the pages. Plus when you boot up using zdrv_???.sfs split file system, the memory usage was 32MB. Something like this could cater with older PC's as well as newer ones, It would be nice if we had something like this. I'm going to try to do unleashed 2.16.1 and make the needed changes and see where I end up. ttuuxxx
