January 03, 2010 — BarryK
I have just uploaded the latest Woof.

One thing that I have done is remove Shinobar's 'pupsaveconfig'. After using it for awhile, I feel that there are too many questions and steps at shutdown. Also, as I run my puppies from live-CD and do a lot of rebooting, I got very annoyed having to reinsert the CD and press ENTER key each time.

I can conceive of a simpler way of implementing an X GUI for the pupsave, so will revisit this later.

too many questions?

A Puppy New Year, Barry! Tnx for testing my GUI, pupsaveconfig. You sais>there are too many questions and steps at shutdown. Strange! I have just tryed to keep your messages and questions at shutdown. The original rc.shutdown brings many questions and steps. My pupsaveconfig is not more or less. anyway i am looking forward to the simpler GUI.

"I would have to look at again to recall exactly. One thing I think was when I choose Menu>Shutdown>Poweroff computer, up came the X GUI, and I just accepted everything by clicking OK buttons, then I had to choose Menu>Shutdown>Poweroff again to shutdown. Your implementation is good, but I'll hack it to suit me

" not enough questions! add one more question, "Do you want to see the GUI (or whatever it is called)on the next shut down". also need to have a toggle for which shutdown or gui/process, in the main menu. problem solved.
