JWM 489

April 15, 2010 — BarryK
I have compiled the latest JWM window manager, revision 489. Get it here:

http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/quirky/pet_packages-quirky/jwm2-489-w1.pet

This has the fix for icon rendering.

If anyone wants to use it in their puppy, you're welcome.

"I'm using it right now, but I haven't examined it very closely. One thing I notice, previously it was "click to focus", now focus changes to whatever window the mouse pointer is over. There is a setting for this I think, it seems that Joe has changed the default. The windows have a nice span-to action. Having being using Openbox for awhile, this is a difference I immediately noticed and liked. For example, you drag a window near the edge of screen, it snaps right to the edge.

One more JWM bug fixed

"Joe seems active these days. One more bug is fixed. Now keyboard shortcuts work when NumLock is ON. @Barry [i]I'm using it right now, but I haven't examined it very closely. "I used to use click always in jwm (then I tried a hairywill special and it was *really* fast, almost too responsive for me). Have to reread some and see how to autoraise on a delay.. 489 works great in q008, q013, q018 and w019 - minor niggle is corner artefacts show on the rounded corners if xcompmgr is used (intermitently until the dust settles a bit on a fresh session). Icons are all proper now. It's all good for me :)
