Painting some rooms

"I'm "only" painting three bedrooms, on this trip. They looked crappy, so fresh paint, especially I am doing the edges nicely -- you know when someone paints a wall and the edges around door and window frames have noot been done neatly, looks awful. Plus, a previous tenant painted some walls in high-contrast wwith adjoining wall, again with awful corners. Very old stained carpet, have taken that out, we will choose new carpet tomorrow. This is a relative that I am helping out, so just getting "petrol money" for my services. No problem, she is struggling financially and needs to sell this place.
Optus wireless works

"Hey, I'm running Puppy Linux on my relative's laptop, and Internet works. She has a an Optus mobile wireless connection, with USB HUAWEI Mobile Connect 3G Modem. Thanks to rerwin, it just-worked when I ran PupDial. I used phone number *99# and changed max speed to 460800, left all other fields as-is, this connection does not need any username/password to be specified, so I guess that is built-in to the USB modem.

"since it is a window manager, it likely won't have a menu entry. to start it instead of jwm do something like: echo pekwm >/etc/windowmanager (if that is the executable name?? I haven't checked, since I am stuck on a win-box at the moment) then restart X from the menu

Username: I extracted the pet package to look inside, and it looks ok to me.
@technosaurus: yeah, that's the executable's name
re pekwm wm
Username: BarryK
"Exit from X, type "xwin pekwm" (or whatever the name of the execuable is) -- that will start X with pekwm and automatically update /etc/windowmanager.
