Modem upgrade, -7.5

I have applied rerwin's 'modem_fix_pack_delta-7.2_to_7.5.pet' that he pm'ed to me.

Note to rerwin:
My rc.sysinit already has the string "cumulative tx/rx", so your patch does not get applied. However I have applied it manually. It replaces my code.

""nosmp' was completely removed from the Universal Installer on July 20. So Woof uploaded after that will not have that parameter.

"shinobar, I haven't read any of the Lucid threads for awhile. I have to skim when reading the forum, as I have a very big workload. Developers are also sending me stuff via pm's. A lot of things, I think "that looks good" but I might never put it into Woof/Puppy because it doesn't get high enough in my priority list. Or, I might not recognise the true worth of someone's creation. Whatever, I do my best. If I do overlook something that is very worthy, bring it to my attention again sometime. Right now, all my attention is on something very interesting that I am doing for Wary 0.7...

Modem ok in 060 - not in 070

"I was absolutely delighted when the Agere HDA modem in my HP550 laptop burst into life under Wary060 - K2.6.32.16 It has however regressed in Wary 070 - K2.6.34.1 - although agrserial and agrmodem appear to load, /dev/ttyAGS3 is not detected by PupDial and modem-stats -c "ATI3" /dev/ttyAGS3 just returns "Killed" and dmesg shows that the process crashes. "peebee, Yes, rerwin sent me a pm that that last pet was a step too far, and may have broken things. We will get it fixed, but not sure if we can release an intermediate pet to fix it, or wait until next Wary release. I'm going to be offline for a few days.
