Woof uploaded, September 3, 2010

September 03, 2010 — BarryK
This is the version of Woof used to build Wary 0.7 (070).

For introduction and instructions to download Woof, go here:
http://bkhome.org/woof/

So, if you have previously downloaded Woof, all you have to do this time is run this in the Woof project directory to update to the latest Woof files:

# bones download

Note that playdayz has sent me some files to synchronise Woof with Lucid 5.1.2, but I have not applied them yet. Also, rerwin will have another upgrade for dialup analog and 3G modem support very soon. After I have applied both of these, I will upload Woof again.

minor woof/bones bug

Hi Barry I am using the lupu-511 rc as my woof environment. I just got a new .5 TB hard drive and decided to start woof from scratch. I ran 'bones download' and kept getting 'wget unrecognised option' error with the username/password params. You have SECURITY="--http_user=${download_username} --http_password=${download_password}" in the bones script and this fails in lupu. I guess it's the ubuntu older version of wget. As a workaround, I used SECURITY="--user=${download_username} --password=${download_password}" and the project is now downloading nicely. Just thought I'd bring this to your attention, (and perhaps playdayz too) Cheers

"01micko, I can put a test into the script. Just to confirm, if you run this: # wget --help ...do you definitely not get '--http-user' and '--http-password' listed? Oh, I have just realised something. The script has --http_user and --http_password, but that should be '-' not '_'. I will fix the script. I never noticed this bug before as you don't need any username/password to download Woof. If you have run into this problem then you have made an error filling in the fields -- in 'bones setup' the download username/password fields should be empty. Anyway, I'll fix bones.

"Ok, I have changed "--http_user" and "--http_password" to "--http-user" and "--http-password" in the 'bones' script. The PET is now 0.2.1, uploaded: http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/quirky/pet_packages-quirky/bones-0.2.1.pet
