Agere modem works

I am running Wary built with 2.6.31.14 kernel, and for the very first time I have the internal modem on my laptop working. That's incredible, I have had this laptop six years. Using it right now.

The Agere drivers with Wary 092 are broken, missing symbols. The problem arose because I upgraded the ALSA drivers to 1.0.23, but the Agere drivers were compiled against the kernel's source ALSA code.

This time though, for the 2.6.31.14 kernel, I have not upgraded ALSA, avoiding this problem.

I ran PupDial and it "just worked". I didn't even tick "stupid mode". No dialing sound though.
