Aiptek Media Tablet 14000U

Made the decision, ordered this:

The working area is 12 inch x 7.25 inch, extremely good size for the price -- AU$144.20 including postage (approx. the same in USD).

But, what decided me is that the manufacturer has a driver for Linux:

I think also that the open source 'wizardpen' driver will work -- at least, it is listed to work with the 'AIPTEK HyperPen 10000 U' and 'AIPTEK Slim Tablet U600 Premium II' models. It will be very interesting to get it going with both drivers.

The Ubuntu people have a driver for the Aiptek HyperPen USB graphic tablets: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-aiptek I also read somewhere that the Wacom driver works with the Aiptek 14000U. Waltop driver

"Ah, I saw a reference to the Aiptek needing a "waltop" driver. Waltop is actually the Taiwanese manufacturer of the tablet, and the official driver that I downloaded from the Aiptek site is in fact the same (I think) as the Waltop driver. Waltop site: http://www.waltop.com.tw/prodDetail.asp?id=20
