Wcpufreq CPU frequency scaling tool

For sometime now I have been using CPU Scaling Ondemand PET created by Trio:

Wary 5.0 has version 1.3-3.
However, I received a recommendation that Wcpufreq CPU Frequency Scaling Tool, created by tazoc, is better:

Well, I don't know, but I guess that I'll go along with that. The next Wary will have Wcpufreq 0.4.
One thing in Wcpufreq that I am uncertain about is the introduction of the directory structure /home/spot, rather than the already existing /root/spot. I don't even know why a CPU frequency scaling tool would need a "spot" directory. Well, I guess that I will go along with that for now also.

"Thank you for trying wcpufreq. Iguleder and I worked on that for Lucid Puppy--and I for Lighthouse Pup. The /home/spot/Startup directory was for LHP multi-user, though it probably should be in /etc/init.d. I'm planning to change the default up_threshold for the ondemand governor to 80% or 50% for better performance. Some kernels set the default at 95% which means the core does not achieve full speed until usage reaches 95%, which can cause stuttering with Flash video. The GUI offers 4 settings 95, 80, 50 and 30%. I run my desktop at 50% up_threshold. I've not received a great deal of feedback in favor of multi-user support in LHP and plan to drop that from LHP in the future, as I find it difficult and time-consuming to develop and test for. I would like to recommend radky's PupControl Panel. http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=61961 He has adapted it for a variety of Puppies and PupControl makes configuring and tweaking Puppy a breeze. I appreciate the intuitive interface and it is fast and reliable.
