Getting close to Wary-beta release

Or Wary-alpha, however good it turns out to be.

I have just done a test build, decided to burn it to CD, running it now ...and yes, I'm running as user 'fido'!

There was one disappointing thing though, no "woof woof" at startup. Something in rerwin's PET (see previous post) has upset my laptop.
The settings that are run in /etc/init.d/10alsa are not working -- it is supposed to come up unmuted, sound level 75%, but instead is coming up with the "front" muted and 0% and main level at 100%.

I didn't look closely enough at some of the changes in the PET, I had a quick look now and see that the detected card is written to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf -- um, Puppy is supposed to dynamically detect the card fresh at every bootup, as in the situation where booting from USB Flash on different PCs.

Many of rerwin's fixes in the PET are excellent, so I will go through each line that is changed and revert where I think necessary.

I had a quick look at the files in rerwin's PET, I thought that /sbin/pup_event_backend_modprobe might be causing the problem, so reverted that script. Rebuilt Wary, but... oh dear, still no "woof woof". So, I don't know what the cause is. I have fixed it by reverting entirely, that is, going back to before I applied rerwin's PET. Rebuilt Wary, yay "woof woof" is back, and the main volume is correctly set to 75%.
