Xorgwizard touchpad fixes

September 27, 2011 — BarryK
The Xorg Wizard had some issues with configuring for a touchpad. This is script /usr/sbin/xorgwizard.

In Racy, there was a report of the touchpad working ok when automatic setup of X was used, but not after the Xorg Wizard was run.

I went through the relevant section of code and cleaned it up somewhat. There was a problem that caused the touchpad code to get inserted twice into /etc/X11/xorg.conf, fixed.

There was messy stuff, like "modprobe evdev" getting written to /etc/rc.d/rc.local when that wasn't needed.

GRUB installation conundrum
Username: Sage
"Reported on Forum/Slacko/B5: "Some while ago, updating a FULL would leave the old GRUB intact, generally only requiring the title line to be edited. Recently the MBR & GRUB seems to be completely stripped during an update (upgrade? whatever) which tends to conflict with the verbiage along the lines of "..if no GRUB exists...etc, etc...." suggesting that it is the intention to leave any old GRUB untouched? Not necessarily a disaster, but requires extra effort(!) and if one forgets to re-install (GRUB)after upgrading, leaves an un-bootable HD." May only require minor change of wording if the feature is intended?
