Precise: Linux kernel 3.2.44

I am thinking of bringing out the next release of Precise Puppy -- currently 5.5.1, so the next will be 5.6. To that end, I have compiled the latest kernel in the 3.2 series.
All sources, patches, including kernel SFS, are in my sources repo:

The usual username/password!
For newcomers, that's p#up#py and l#in#ux (obfuscated).
The PET (this is for Woof people only) (23.3M):

I compiled it for a minimum of i586 CPU, which includes 6x86, and without support for PAE.
This time, I want to build a single live-CD image that will work for everybody. I don't want to have to build two separate PAE and non-PAE images.
Besides, I read a study somewhere that being able to access beyond 4GB of RAM does not produce any noticeable performance gains for the vast majority of typical uses. You would have to be an extreme user to really need that extra RAM.
Also, how many people actually have computers with more than 4GB RAM. Not many, I think.

Good thinking, Carruthers! Precise has continued to be a lot more successful that Rarin'. As for PAE, pandering to the voluble go-faster spoilt brats would be an huge mistake for a truly compact distros; most of the 'lightweight' offerings seem massively bloated before they even boot up. Prenez courage, mon brave.
Good idea

"Also, how many people actually have computers with more than 4GB RAM. Not many, I think. Well, I have a laptop with 6GB RAM. I agree that it adds nothing to performance in "normal" use. Incidentally, neither does a 64bit operating system!
