There were lots of issues with 4.99. Thanks to the feedback, hopefully they are now resolved. Release notes:

Preferably do a pristine first-bootup, so that you get to test the
ask-language GUI. This is now a text-mode GUI, keyboard only. Photo:
There are still some issues/annoyances:
- If you click on "kirkstone" icon to bring up the containerized desktop, the icon titles are in English. I was testing French translation and everything else in the container seems translated OK.
- On the main desktop, French language, the icon labels "Internet", "Partage", "Actualiser" and "Sauver" overlap. The original English labels are "net", "share", "update" and "save". Is it possible to make any of the French labels shorter?
- MoManager: forum member esmourguit reported inability to translate
binary executable 'vobcopy'; reported Bing giving an error. But I tried
it, translates OK for me.
Extra fixes:
- /usr/share/locale.in is no more, only /usr/share/locale folder. This was a cause of trouble in 4.99. locale.in still exists in the rootfs-skeleton folder in woofQ.
- The initrd has a menu. It had a 10 second timeout, increased to 15 seconds.
- I earlier reported youtube-dl broken. Fixed.

There was a question asked on the forum, if you have a frugal install
of 4.99, how would you restore it to a pristine first-bootup situation?

...in a nutshell, deleted everything except 'vmlinuz', 'initrd' and
'easy.sfs' -- don't do it while running the frugally-installed 4.99
though! You can also put the 4.101 files in there to update.
Have fun!
