Note that 'libva' was manually updated, backported from the "Langdale" release of OE/Yocto. The reason for doing this is that the Kirkstone release has 'libva' 2.14.0, but Chromium now requires 2.15.0. Discussion about this is here:
https://github.com/OSSystems/meta-browser/issues/732
This OE build now has "usrmerge" set in DISTRO_FEATURES:
DISTRO_FEATURES="acl alsa argp bluetooth debuginfod ext2 ipv4 ipv6 largefile usbgadget usbhost \
wifi xattr nfs pci 3g nfc x11 vfat seccomp opengl ldconfig usrmerge pulseaudio sysvinit \
gobject-introspection-data"
There was a previous blog post about moving to usrmerge:
https://bkhome.org/news/202309/oe-and-woofq-change-to-usr-merge.html
Void Linux also has /usr/sbin a symlink to /usr/bin, and I have
also done that in woofQ.
