Bumping from 7.0.16, this time just one thing has changed:

Tonight I plan to work on the next bugfix; direct-save mode when running overlay.
A note about overlay versus aufs; EasyOS v7 has been plagued with
random hanging at bootup. There are lots of posts to this blog on
that topic.
Until EasyOS changed to using overlay filesystem; that would be about 15th September, and since then not one single hang. I do lots of bootups every day, testing builds of Easy, as well as booting up my main workhorse PC and the laptop that resides beside my lounge chair.
Got the hang with aufs for 6.6.x as well as 6.12.x kernels. For 6.6.x, I suspect something backported has upset aufs.
Anyway, as overlay is working 100% for me, this looks like the
way going forward. The default for 7.0.17 is overlay, but that can
be overridden by kernel boot parameter "qfix=aufs"; but the way it
is looking now, I might not be supporting aufs in the future.
