Extra information in run-as-user GUI

April 07, 2026 — BarryK

EasyOS has a script named 'run-as-user', that will run an executable as any user. Blog posts about this:

Right-click on an executable in ROX-Filer, and 'run-as-user' is presented as a choice to run the executable. For example, the executable /usr/bin/sakura:

However, the human user might want to automate this, and might not be aware of the blog posts that explain how 'run-as-user' works. So, have added some extra information in the GUI window:

Just a little usability tweak.
