The return of brightness-control
Easy Excalibur has 'Dcontrol', which you will find in the "Setup"
menu category. It is a GUI for the 'redshift' cli utility.
Forum member tammi806 installed the rshift_tray PET package. This is a tray applet, a GUI for 'redshift'. It has been in Easy before. Forum post:

...yes, I confirm, it works, but text is missing from the GUI.
Maybe that is because 'yad' is now the gtk3 version, not gtk2.
'rshift_tray' is forum member fredx181's baby; we will have to ask
him for help to fix it.
There have been a lot of posts about these screen brightness/tint applications, for example:

'brightness-control' and 'dcontrol' require the 'sct' utility, which was missing. An oversight; the Debian package is actually named 'xsct'. That is fixed.
Dcontrol is in the menu, fine, but we do need a tray applet, so I have gone back to 'brightness-control'. It is very simple, not much adjustment capability, but suits me. Dcontrol can be used for those that want more adjustments.
Note, brightness-control also uses yad, but it works
fine.
